okay, the votes are in and i perdicted correctly this time, da votes did come down to the wire and finally the Backstreet Boys have emerged victorious in the recent poll. Won by just ONE vote, Backstreet Boys shows Nsync that theres more to a boy band then just cool dance moves. For those who still are not aware, Nsync has disbanded years ago while BSB is still i tact but without Kevin. But anyways, today is BSB's day and this is their post. Okay, i know everyone is going to say im outdated again, but believe me, you cannot blame me. Hehe, cuz when this movie came out last year, i was in PERLIS, doing time (no, not prison, well sorta like prison but malaysians call it NS)..so i never had the chance to watch it. Recently i downloaded a lot of movies in the 2008, Eagle Eye, Hancock and now, Jumper. A lot of my friends told me dat it would be a disappointment but i dont understand why they said that. Its pretty awesome the movie. Whats it about, well its really interesting so be sure to watch it! haha! its just cool, and if you're a StarWars fan, theres Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu in the movie! haha!

School Starts and Happy Days

Life~
So school starts for me , this means i am finally entering my final year in school. no more screw ups and no more goofing off. Im not gonna get another shot in this if i fail again so its time to roll up my sleeves and get serious.

The first day was acceptable i guess. suprisingly i didnt oversleep instead i woke up just in time! aha! so as usual, assembly for the next 3 days. its really really tiring to just stand. school administration likes torturing people i guess cause i seriously dont see anyone benefiting from all the hours spent standing. this just gives problems to the prefects and the students. but tomorrow no assembly so HUZZAH! This year is gonna be loads of work still for me. I thought after the camp last year i thought my burden was lesser now but this year theres still a bit left to organise..grrr..besides that, for my sports house, i need to lead them to at least something. i sure hope i dont end up last this year. haha! and plus, there are 2 new houses added this year. so to all the ex frees reading this. YES, it sux and the name sux and the color sux too. and because of this, as captain of my house, theres shitload of stuff to worry about now. that goes to the 5 other house captains.

too bad theres no pictures to put up here but even if i had the chance to take, i would not put it in my blog cuz da school has been made uglier and putting it in my blog would just ruin everyones mood. waaahaha!

Football~
Day 2 of school and i realised that theres a game at 4 in the morning, so i thought, if i woke up at 4 and watch the game, ill be sleep deprieved the next day, would it be worth it? oh what the heck i was up 4 in the morning and i was rooting for my team! woot!! like all football matches, there are 2 halves, the first half and the second half. during the first half, my team played like crap and the opposition capatilized on a shaky tottenham side, the opposition were one goal up in half time and i was starting to think that staying up to watch the game was a big mistake.

but then, i was already wide awake and a little grumpy cuz my team wasnt performing up to expectations. so the second half started and the next 45 minutes was really fast. the pace of the game was pumped to a whole new level and my team dominated almost the whole remainder of the game. we were 0-1 down during the interval but in the 2nd half we grabbed 4 goals to win the game 4-1..haha! now THAT, is what i call a good game and no more regrets for me staying up..hehe! the goals just kept coming and we look set for Wembley! woohoo!!

game ends at around 6 and i was all smiles, and the next day i was just really hyper in school, despite being sleep deprieved i was able to play around in school, ah thats so me. come on you Spurs!!

Boyz 2 Men

HAH! This is not about the boy band, boyz 2 men, instead its about 2 other boy groups: Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync. Well, its like a debate that has been going on forever, from the day both groups were formed, until today (even after Nsync had spilt up), the fight still goes on about which boy group is the best. So who do u think is the best? Its a tough choice, no doubt about that..i did a little search on them and found out a few interesting facts about both groups...and im setting up a poll for you guys to vote, on which is the best boy group! so be honest, and ask as many friends to vote! Only judge them up to 2004 because BSB still makes albums whereas Nsync dont anymore..And the whole reason why i call this post boyz 2 men is cuz these guys are men now, they used to be boys and now they are all grown up..

PiM 2009 Reaches its Milestone

Poetry In Motion - Welcomes 2009 in Color

Okay, today is a very important day for my blog. This is the 100th post and i'm proud that the blog is still alive and running. Sure there has been times when i don't update it and sometimes my posts are not very nice to read and lack pictures. But hey, this is a new start. 2009 baby! I have a good feeling about this year. I don't know why but theres just a buzz bout this year and something tells me i should welcome this year with open arms. I even made a brand new header for the blog so i hope you guys would give me some comments about it, good or bad just lay it on me. Anyways, Happy 100th Post, Tristan! Lets just say i have this dual personality thing, or maybe a superhero name and mine is Tristan. For example, Batman has Bruce Wayne, Superman has Clark Kent and Buayaman has Kiatisak Chua. So you get it now? I'm sure you do. So lets talk more about this new thing, Poetry In Motion (PiM) i mean. What's it about?

Alright, there won't be much addition to the blog, maybe i'll just spice it up with more pictures and jazz it up with more funky colors. It's not going to satisfy everyone but at least i know one that will be very satisfied, guess who? So okay, heres the deal, before PiM was introduced, my blog never really had a direction and my posts are mostly random, but hey isn't that what blogs are about? Well, sorta.. but i think its just best to make things a bit more systematic, so i will be labeling my future posts on what they will be about, for example, Music, Football, Gaming, Art and etc etc. That way, the ladies can skip stuff like Football and Gaming, for the guys, umm..you'll live. I'll explain more about each category later on.

Why Poetry In Motion? Well, i don't know actually. I have been thinking of something new to make my blog look and sound better so i started thinking for a new name for this old place. Then it hit me, PiM was what i thought of. I would not say this is an original cause' PiM is actually a very famous wrestling move used by 2 wrestlers many years ago. Heard of the Hardy Boyz? Jeff and Matt Hardy? They have a sweet move called PiM. When i was a small kid, back in the days when i thought wrestling was real (Its fake, everything is planned..so haha!) i use to watch them a lot and besides, Poetry In Motion sounds cool anyway. Haha! Okay so now i'll explain more about the categories.

Music
If you're a close friend of mine, you would know how much i love music. Who in this world doesn't love music? If you don't then you're a freak, grats to you. Sadly, i do not know how to play any instruments but i sure hope to learn in the future. And when my computer or laptop is on, theres always music on as well. Music plays an important part in life and often it dictates people's lives. I listen to a huge variety of music. Any genre, you name it but i love Rock a lot and maybe a pinch of RnB. I always love something with guitars and drums in it. I was exposed to music back when i was in kindy, thanks to my brothers. Until today, Darren Hayes(Savage Garden) still awe me with his brilliant voice. Same goes to Rob Thomas(Matchbox 20) and John Rzeznik(Goo Goo Dolls).

Football
This is probably one of the easiest things to talk about. If you know me well enough, you would know how much i adore this game. Theres so much excitement and drama about this sport that it just keeps me glued to the tele for the full 90 minutes. Theres a lot of teams out there and a HUGE majority of Malaysians support the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool(Typical Malaysians). Not me, I am a fan of Tottenham Hotspurs, a team from North London that has an impressive history. No, this is not a top team but i am still proud to be a fan and i watch as many Spurs games as possible. I have been a fan for this team for almost 8 years now and i plan to die as one! I am a very passionate person, and football is just another passion for me, just like music.

History
Whats that about history you ask?Umm, not sejarah. THAT sucks, what i am referring to is Greek and Egyptian Mythology. You know? Umm, its like those stories about heroes and gods in the ancient times. I like Norse mythology too. Actually, anything old and interesting. I've always shown much interest in stuff like this, especially Greek myths. There is so much we can learn about them and whenever i have the chance, i'll read and study about them.

Art
I absolutely love art. This was mostly influenced by my eldest brother who is a really great artist himself. He draws really well and i picked up a lot from him. I can draw, but i will not say how good it is cause' i will not judge myself. Dancing is also a form of art, and this i got it from my second brother, he is an awesome dancer. He choreographs routines and i too have picked up a little bit from him. My dancing abilities are of course not very good, compared to me and a pencil. I really hope to develop both skills later on in life, together with learning a musical instrument. Gaming
Gaming is something guys do i suppose, girls, are more into shopping and watching television. Haha! Well, everyone plays games and i play games too. I invent games too, when i was in primary school, i always made games to play in school. Just a piece of paper and a pencil or sometimes just paper. I remember making action figures. But its a bit fuzzy and made card games too, like Pokemon and such. Haha! That was all achieved together with my good friend, Eiven who also has a great imaginative skills. Imagination is very important when it comes to gaming, if you cant imagine, you're going to be boring and end up shopping and watching TV. What games do i play? umm, RTS, FPS, RPG, MMORPG. My favorite games are, every edition of Football Manager, World of Warcraft and any football game on Ps2.

Life
When i blog about this category, it is mostly about parties, or outings with my friends. Or just simply a post about a friend. This is mostly random, just like life itself, random. Haha!

So i guess this is it about Poetry In Motion. A lot more color, more pictures and definitely more interesting posts! I welcome 2009 with open arms and pray, that everything turns out well for me and for all those around me. Stay tuned for more updates! Thanks!

a Different and Difficult New Year

so 2008 left and now we have a whole new problem, 2009..hmmm..2009, what can i look forward to. Every year has been crap but hey 2009 should be great..you wanna know why? cuz Transformers : Rise of the Fallen and New Moon will be out in 2009! how awesome is that? haha..yea totally! so okay, other than movies, what else can i look forward to..well, for sure, this will be my last schooling year..Upper 6 ends this year and i cannot flunk anymore..I need to be serious when it comes to my studies..so haha..i'll try i guess..

so okay lets talk about the whole countdown thing, i bet every blog has stories bout how people celebrated their countdown to the new year..so heres mine..i spend da whole day at home! ahaha! and i downloaded Hancock, so i watched that..after that, i read Eclipse, played computer games and before i know it, i can already hear fireworks cracking up outside my house..when i looked at the clock in my room, the new year has come! it has finally come! so i started wishing everyone on my MSN list happy new year! then i got a couple of new year msgs and i replied them straight away, just cuz im such a polite dude..

okay that was about it..nope, i did not go out to do the countdown..don't know why..oh well, so thats that..so the next day me and my folks went for a hike..its like a family thing, we do it every year..on the first of January we will go hike this hill and visit a temple..pray n stuff..its really cool, especially when my brothers are around..but this year, both of them couldn't come back..so it was different..it was kinda sad cuz i missed those cool times spent with my brothers..its difficult but thats life, people grow up and eventually, they will leave us..haha..well..at least they will be back during CNY! alright!! i already made plans with them like what games to play and other cool stuff..
