Some random thing - scouting

okay..felt bored...no one to talk to..so im going to humour myself..this is going to be some random stuff..this post will be about the 5 years i was in scouting..i think im goin to go a bit detail on this..since im bored and have nothing better to do..

it all started in da year 2003..FORM 1...in Penang Free School..i was a kid..walkin around the school field during road show..we were separated to classes..so we walked in groups..i saw many uniform bodies dat day..all very lame..until i got to a small corner of the field..all the 3 MAJOR troops were there...7th GTS, 8th GTS and last but not least...da barely surviving 1st GTS..but still all 3 were impressive...when i was at the 7th GTS station..some scouts came to us and started crapping..telling us hw good scouting is..and at the same time telling me..hw bad 8th GTS and 1st GTS is..so i just nodded..and when i went near da registration table..my name was already there..so i looked around..then i saw..my brother..his presence explains alot..especially da part bout hw my name magically went into da registration list...so i went on to the 8gts and 1gts stations and hear them crap bout scouting and more bad stuff bout da 2 other troops..orite..so anyways...school year started..i got drafted to FALCON patrol..at that time da PL and PS was Boo Aik and Wai Kin..i didnt get to see them in action much..cuz i was under the care of my 3 form 2 seniors..Eddy, Chong Wee and Wai Soon..good seniors..and prolly da best dat time..and dat year...i got to know new friends..like kiatisak..he came frm SKBL too..but i didnt mix with him much..so i got to knw him in form 1..then there is Mou Jian..and a lot more..so lets just jump to the end of da year..the grandest event in 7GTS..TRAPLEX!!!!! and i got to combine with PCGHS..chinese ed gals..yup..i was like..hmmm..hw am i gonna communicate with'em?oh well..as days got by...after many meetings...i got to know them better..and they got to know me better too..i cudnt remember most of da guides names already..i knw theres one called Mei Fern..cuz we use to eat Skittles and stuff...quite a funny girl..then theres my dance partner..Vivian!she still talks to me..till today..just imagine..da camp was like 5 years ago..so how cool is she?!then theres Sherril and Won Juin..i think dats hw their names are spelled...ANYWAYS..camp ended and dats all for 2003..nothing much happened..

2K4..da year where we finally will be given da responsibilty to take care of da juniors..later on we got promoted..i was made HAWK patrol leader...and my PS was my best friend Eiven Wong..and another form 2 member was Joh Wyee..we were like da underdogs...and i was nt a good leader...and i always wanted to give up..even before da camp started..but then in the end we decided to just do it anyways..but by the time we decided dat..camp was just da nxt day..but i can still rmb..me and eiven managed to whip up quite a cool miniature..with lifts..and gates and stuff..pretty awesome...GOOD JOB EIVEN!i gotta hand it to u..da hours playing Heroes..*cough cough* i mean building the miniature..it was quite a cool miniature man!anyways..we got 2nd..and i got best PL...after dat..i told da TL, Ting Chao..dat i wanted to give up my post..and id be a sorry excuse for a Patrol Leader..i knw hw good i am..and i was pretty sure i wasnt ready to lead a patrol in Traplex..so later on i got demoted..to PS..and i was sent to Falcon..my PL was Kiatisak..dat year of Traplex..we combined with CGL..i can still rmb..it was in youth park..da sun was bright..i stood at the back of my patrol..cuz i was da PS..all da PS have to stand at the back..so when all da patrols were given da schools to combine with..i turned back...and i saw...Angelin..oh yea..in form 1..there was CC, another camp in da mid of da year..thats when i combined with CGL and met Angelin..so anyways..i SAW Angelin..and i was 'holy crap'...cuz before dat day..my brother..an EX scout told me dat..if u are gonna win a camp..is to hope dat u get PCGHS or Union..cuz they are really hardworking and good..and if u get CGL..da term used wud be 'GG'...but dat year..everything went against the odds...that was da BEST year i had..cuz i get to know such cool guides..Angelin,Kitt Yeang,Ting En,Su Ting and of course Kijade! they were da craziest bunch ive ever met..we were like a big big family..always foolin around..and no one xpected us to win..i did nt attend da camp..personal reasons..but we won da camp anyways..and dat crazy bunch has been close with me til today..hw cool is dat!?..so dats da end of 2004

2k5..PMR year..we didnt get involved in scouting dat year..but year 2k5 was da best year in school ever..my class 3 Zamrud..i definitely enjoyed it..with classmates like Mou Jian, Joe jin and Yi-Wen (see i rmbed da hyphen this time)...and dat year..was da year we turned a nerdy little boy to...a ladies man..dat he is today..he is none other than Chong Yik Sean..at the beginning of 2005..he was talking about star wars but by the end of dat year..oh he was changed...3 Zamrud guys wud knw what i mean..anyways..back to scouts..everything was boring til the end of da year..Trpalex again..this time..da Camp Chief was Eddy..cuz he is da TL..and dats when things started to get ugly..after PMR..some of da form 3's were made into PS to da patrols..and form 4's were to be da PL..dat was fine..but dat year..they HAD to open 2 patrols..so dat year..dere was a total of 7 patrols..but dat part was fine too..i was sent to Stork..STORK?!..and no offence to the PL..but i dont think he was qualified to be a PL..and he wudnt stand a chance against da rest of da patrols..and i was sent there..and when i ask why?da TL simply said..'cuz u are good....' and da rest of da members are not very active scouts....and when u look at da other patrols..we were like..nothing..and total no chance in winning..and with da TL not giving me a proper xplanation on what was his purpose of his actions..i gave up on Traplex..it was a sad year...i was totally not at the top of da list of da excos..but i dun really give a **** wat they think dat time..cuz their decision was totally unfair...and i regretted..for letting go of my post as PL of Hawk..at 2004..after i resigned..Daniel took over as PL..if i had continued on..i wud still be in Hawk..dat year..Hawk combined with PCGHS..and i wud definitely give it all i got to win..cuz da members were decent ones..hardworking too..but theres no room for regrets..i just moved on..and enter 2006..

2k6..this is da year where we wud be promoted to be da main leaders of da troop..and i was totally not hoping for anything..cuz of wat happened last year...so i decided to do scouting my way..da FUN way..later on..Mou jian and Kiatisak was made Prob ATLs..so one of them was in da running to be da nxt TL..and i was made..UL..unit leader..and my US..was Wen Ping..a quiet but hardworking dude..u have my respect Ping..a great scout..anyways..i can still remember..da planning stages before da camp..i had a meeting with my comrades..Wen Ping, Eiven, Daniel and Omar..i told them..'i suggest we break all da rules in camp..and build a fortress instead of da required gadgets'...'i will only do it..if u guys agree..i m not forcing u guys..just wanna c wat u guys think'...they were totally excited with what i said..so they agreed..and i can still rmb..a few days before da camp..Nixon da opposition UL came to me..

Nixon : eh chong yen ar..u wanna pia for ATC rite?

CY : err..not really..why?

Nixon : eh dun play la..wat u plan to do?u done all da coms d?

CY : wat com?serious la..i lie to u for what?

Nixon : then wat u wanna do la???

CY : im going..to build..a fortress..

Nixon : dun lie la..as if u will..

CY : watch me..=D

so dat was dat convo..still very clear in my mind..camp day came..and my unit SHOCKED da whole troop..we did build a fortress with 4 walls..and small small watch tower..a gate..to keep out pesky excos and little juniors..we finished before nightfall..while everyone was still building their GADGETS...we even brought handphones..an ice box..what for?to keep our food ler..can drinks..we brought chips..gambling cards..then we had barbecue at nite..it was pretty awesome..later on dat nite..da headmaster came to visit..he walked around da campsite..and eventually came to my unit's fortress..he entered..and i was pretty sure he was impressed with wat he saw..cuz it was totally diff frm wat da others built..when he came..we were barbecuing sausages..eiven was cooking he was quite a cook..omar was up on da watch tower on da look out for excos and juniors...then later on..we got hungry again..so we just waltzed out of school and to McD to get us some grub..that was illegal actually..but oh wat the heck..tummy was growling..so u see...i was a rebel..and my comrades were da same..but sadly..later on..one of my members..sold me out..he said da whole thing i plan myself...and da units rebellion was all my idea..and as if he did nt agree on it...but then after da camp..da exco told me wat dat member of mine said..i was sad..devastated..and da exco was sad too..cuz he cudnt believe wat dat member had done..selling me out..later on i delivered da news to my members..we were all sad..we cant hate him..he was still part of da unit..so we just let it go...but u knw..dat was prolly da most satisfying camp..cuz it was fun..like i said..my way of scouting..da FUN way..i watch out for my members..and i wud gladly take da shots for them...we didnt win..but we cud care less..it was fun..then a few months later..i got promoted to ATL..only god knows how..until today i dont knw why i cud..and Mou Jian was da TL..and kiatisak was ATL also..and when i got into da board of excos..everythign was happenin so fast..but luckily i cud follow..and helped out with da TL..okay okay..then..there was Traplex 2006..nervous as i was..i was looking forward to it too..cuz first year hosting..quite exciting!later on we got PCGHS,CGL,CLS and SGGS to join da camp..some sent 3 excos..some sent 4..CDK sent their excos during campday..so helpful..NOT..anyways..da guides were fun..i got to know them..they got to know me..it went on quite well..when it ended i had to admit..wasnt really da best camp..but still..a memorable one..for me..and for everyone..year ends..and come 2k7

2k7...nth much happened dat much...me Mj and kia weere prolly da boss around da troop and didnt really do much already..cuz was old and had to focus on SPM..so year ends..and left da troop..

2k8..sadly i had to go back..to do form 6..but still im nt sure whether i want to stay or not..so dats quite it..bout my camping history..so lets see..ive pretty much seen and been everything there is in da troop...

-performed in Gatherings (dances, sang,impersonated - PCGHS danced twice, SGGS once dance and once sang, CLS impersonation of Michael Jackson)

dats quite a lot..for now..cant think of anymore..ill add more soon..da only posts i did nt hold before is TL and US only..LOL..but anyways..it was fun..there was da sad parts..but there was also da fun parts...oh well..dats it..its really long already...cyah!!
