many weeks ago i was hoping dat spurs would sign roman pavlyuhcenko from spartak moscow..but for da past few weeks he had stated many times his desire to remain in russia to play for spartak..but then last nite he shocked europe when he finally had a change of heart..it all started when he announced dat he had withdrawn from the squad to face dynamo kiev..

the following are from the Guardian a british paper

"I can confirm I'm joining [Tottenham]," he said. "Right now I'm getting my visa and as soon as it is ready I will fly to England to sign a contract. I won't play in Kiev. Everything has happened very quickly so I couldn't even say goodbye to my team-mates."

"I could not decide if I wanted to go to England at first - first yes, then no," he said. "The only thing that stopped me from leaving was my family. But now all doubts are behind me and I decided to sign a contract with Tottenham and the formalities are practically settled."

this will definitely be great and he is expected to be a direct and immediate replacement for berbatov, who will be moving to man utd in da couple of days or..rot in da reserves..and i am sure hope dat Pav wouldnt be the last signing for the mighty spurs..i am hoping for Andrei Arshavin and Vedran Corluka to sign in the nxt couple of days..heres to hoping xD
