Stay the Same and Finally Waking Up

Joey McIntyre's 1999 single, Stay the Same is one definitely one the best sing-a-long songs ever made in the history of muzika. Its easy and the words are pretty easy to remember. But whats important is the message thats embedded in the song. The title speaks for itself, really it does. Stay the Same. Basically, don't change who you are unless you are a drug addict or a criminal of any sort. Other than that, you should just be who you are.

Everyday, you see people wanting to change themselves so that they could blend into society, I would say never to do that cuz thats what makes you, you. Well of course unless you are a total freak show. If you're the serious one, always the disciplinarian, then be that way cuz when you start getting funny, its not funny. On the other hand, if you're the funny one, don't try to be TOO serious, people will get worried.

Waking up, we all need to wake up sometime. We can dream but at one point of life, you are just gonna have to wake up and realize that lifes not all that nice. Sometimes we don't get what we want and things don't go our way. So what do we do, we need to wake up. If its not ours, its not ours. Yes, sometimes we feel like the entire world owes us and all our good deeds are not recognised. We feel used and when we are all used up people just chuck us aside and get on with their lives. It sucks but I think there is just nothing we can do. Its really true bout the saying "Nice guys finish last". To be honest I feel sometimes Nice guys never even get to finish the race. What I have learned recently is, never ask questions like "Why the hell should I be nice to people anymore? I don't get anything in return anyways." Nice people are meant to be nice, no matter how hard we want to be bad or mean, we are gonna end up apologizing and regretting, so don't bother trying.

Yes, the bad guys will always get what they want because the nice guys will never know how to go the extra mile, because our jobs are just to be nice. We do not think of what happens next and sometimes yea, its a problem. But I think at the end of the day, we get the job done and thats all it is. We don't lie, we don't cheat and of course we do not act. We do sometimes but nice guys will always end up being used and pushed away.

So, wake up now. I believe I am waking up already. Haha! How Ironic that its almost midnight now and I am so F-ed up sleepy. So anyways, I do not expect anyone to relate to this post but after a long chat with a buddy, I just had to write this down. Haha!
