Respect and Disrespect

Football/Life~

Okay, I always complain about people supporting the top 4 sides in the English Premier League and recently a little girl named Yuh Ting obviously misunderstood my hatred for something childish.

Heres the thing. I don't hate people that support the 4 Big teams(Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool). I hate people who thinks they know a lot bout football by supporting the big 4. Those people I do not respect. The little girl, Yuh Ting also stated that people normally support a team because of a certain player who plays there. Okay, here is an example :

Cristiano Ronaldo, some thinks his hot and some don't. Those who thinks he is hot, supports Manchester United. Fernando Torres, those who thinks he is super cute, supports Liverpool. John Terry, those who thinks he is super macho, supports Chelsea.

Those are examples. Well to people like that, keep in mind that you're not supporting the team. You are just supporting the player. So if he is left out due to suspension, injury or benched, you'd switch the channel or turn off the tele. Those people, well no offense, I no likey.

But then, there are those that I respect despite their allegiance to the big 4. For example, Joe Jin, good friend of mine, has been a supporter since like a billion years ago. His favorite player is Wayne Rooney but then he is still a United fan tru n tru. There are many too. But then again, United fans are just too many to name. Kiatisak, another good friend of mine. He supports Liverpool, WAAAAY before there was Fernando Torres. Despite missing out in the Champions League Cup to AC Milan(Which resulted in him tearing this notes) and countless times being runners up to Manchester United, Kiatisak is still loyal to Liverpool. For "those" people, they'ed given up and started to support Manchester United. Haha.

Then there are those who just started to watch football. How often do you see people like that start off with a smaller club. To them, its either Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. IN fact, Arsenal is starting to lose their supporters because of the lack of hot and cute guys. This is also caused by their inability to win games, therefore, NO one supports.

So anyways, What is a real fan? In football, fans watch almost every game their team plays. For me, I watch as many Tottenham games as I can but the fans in London, well I'm pretty sure they'ed fill up White Hart Lane every weekend. Just like fans to singers or music bands. If you're a fan, you'd always wanna watch all their performances.

Okay, a final statement, I respect fans that know their stuff. Recently I met a 13 year old boy that supports Everton and trust me, his football knowledge is wide. THAT I respect. People who supports a big 4 team "part time", that I do not respect. When I say "part time" means they can actually afford to miss a game because they had better things to do. THERE are NO better things to do except watch ur favorite team play. Real Football fans would understand what I say. And for the little girl, yuh ting I have to say, she is definitely an odd one. For a girl, she does know a lot bout football so I guess I have to give you credit. Haha.
