To Spur on The Clarets

Football~

As the football season heats up, I think I have the right to write more about football yea. I know there are some female readers but hey, bare with me yea!(Sorry Mel!!Haha). But here goes, last I wrote was about the big four. Now I think its about time I talk about my beloved(s). However as the topic on the big four has caused so much debate, I think I will be doing another review on 3 clubs, Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea. Things are starting to get interesting! So anyway, lets get on to it.

Tottenham Hotspurs
With Harry at the helm, I think Spurs finally got their replacement for Big Martin(Jol). The experienced Englishman brought Spurs out of the relegation zone last season to Europa League contenders so with an entire season to go this time around, there is a lot of expectations for him and the club. However his recent signings project a different kind of mood and ambition. The only signing that might encourage the Spurs faithful is in the form of Sebastian Bassong. Signing Peter Crouch however was hugely criticised but as a football fan I believe Crouchie would be a decent signing, for any club.

Crouchie can get goals and isn't that the entire reason why we brought him over? When he played in Liverpool, he had good assists so he had plenty of goals. So with the likes of Lennon, Modric and hopefully Bentley, we might get it done too. Selling off Bent was one of the best things ever. Its like when you really need to take a dump, but u just cant crap it out but finally when the entire load comes out, you'd be like all "aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh". Thats Bent for you. So okay, from how I can see it. Bassong, Modric, Palacios and Crouch will play big parts in the club this season and the only way I can see Spurs crashing out and struggling is because of our defensive problems. With Woody, Daws and King all doubtful, we are sitting ducks for the likes of Torres, Rooney and Drogba. But anyways, Come On You Spurs!! Predicted Finish - top 8

Viva la Hrvatska!

Burnley
This is kinda rare for me as I can hardly connect myself to other football teams as I have always been a loyal Spurs fan. Especially in the Premier League, I can hardly support a 2nd team as I would normally be bored out or just not interested. Its a different case for other leagues as I don't watch much of the game but just follow the news. Anyway, Burnley is an exception. Eversince their Carling Cup semi-final games against us Spurs, I was very impressed with their determination to play. Besides that, during the Championship Play-Offs for the 3rd spot in the BPL, they played exceptionally well to rise above the Blades in the finals.

Basically, whenever I watch them play, its a joy. I am a major fan of Martin Paterson as I think he has the same style of play as a certain Wayne Rooney, brutish and powerful. Besides him, the club has other young prospects like Chris Eagles, David Edgar and Steven Fletcher. Gary Alexander, the former Preston North End captain is also one of my favorites. Robbie Blake is also another player I like very much from the squad. This season is going to be a tough season for them but hey, Stoke could do it, why not them? Owen Coyle is a brilliant manager and I am sure they would survive the premiership this season. Up the Clarets!! Predicted Finish - Top 15

Paterson - "Rawr!"
